What to Expect?
BarCamp Sarasota is part of an international network of crowd-sourced conferences and participatory workshops. BarCamp events are born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment, and the belief that the best learning at any conference takes place while networking with other professionals between scheduled sessions. BarCamp Sarasota is a conversation, please join in!
BarCamp Sarasota’s conference events are FREE* and OPEN TO EVERYONE with the desire to learn in an open, engaging environment. We operate in an open forum format where attendees are encouraged to be active participants and share their ideas. Let your interests guide you! Bring your ideas to share, whether by signing up to discuss an area of expertise, demonstrating your project, becoming part of a panel discussion, or taking part in engaging conversations with other like-minded people.
Topics from previous conferences have included: business development, entrepreneurship and start-ups, technology and innovation from new media, green technology, software/mobile applications, marketing, science-fiction, inventions and gadgets, community and economic development, robotics, art, and much more.
You can see a listing of proposed topics and speakers on the event website.
